Branching Out with Domain Names and Postcards!

I'm comfortable using Blogger to share my sessions online, so I haven't really looked into getting a fancy website just yet. But to make things easier for YOU, I've connected a couple of domain names so that this blog can be reached by typing in kristinraephotography.com as well as the new woodlandsmemories.com!

I recently added woodlandsmemories because, guess what! Soon I will have an ad on a radio program! You can't exactly write down a web address while listening to the radio in your car, and most people don't spell my name right anyway (Kristen, Christen, Christian, Kristan, Ray, Rea, etc.) so I thought Woodlands Memories would be much easier both to remember and to spell.

Last week, my postcards came in! They aren't for sending, just for sharing my info with people, posting on community boards, etc.

Since the weather wasn't the greatest and there were babies involved, we had to shoot indoors, which forced me to practice using my flash. I prefer natural light whenever possible, but I am getting more comfortable with the flash when it's necessary.

As my best friend's youngest sister, I've known Leanne since she was LITTLE. When I found out that Eric popped the question, I knew I wanted to be the one to capture this time of their lives.

My dental hygienist asked me to take some family photos while out of state relatives were in town to visit. The weather was gorgeous and the sun threatened us a few times with its harsh lighting and funky shadow casting, but we had a good time and got some great shots!

A great thing about this family... they rescue dogs! Right now they have six precious little poochies! Some are blind, some are deaf, some are both--all of them are loved and happy.

The temperature was literally over 100 degrees! The poor boys in their suits!! Thankfully the ceremony was only about 10 minutes, which made my job difficult, but if there's one thing I've learned over the weekend, it was to GO WITH THE FLOW!

Amy hadn't done bridal portraits, so we tried to sneak some in before the ceremony. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the evening:

Lindsay and I have been BFFs since the seventh grade, so I was pretty excited about this session. It's incredible to me that we're already at this stage in our lives where having children is an option.

I had so much fun Sunday night with this shoot! They have the nursery set up so perfectly, just in time for baby Garrett who is due in only two weeks!! I can't wait to meet the little guy!

Last Sunday, I had a really fun one-hour session with two of the most beautiful children I've ever seen, Breana and Adrian. We met early at Meyer Park to beat the heat! I look forward to more shoots with these two!
